DAVINES EDUCATION

Hey you guys!

Yesterday, I attended another Davines education course at Goldbear Academy in Silverlake.

The first half of the class was a presentation on our new line Glorifying. Here is a little blurb about the line:

"Colour has by far always been a cornerstone of beauty, an element able to give the look and charm to a woman like nothing else can. For this reason it is fundamental that the results obtained in the salon can be chosen and the correct colour application enhanced and maintained over time. In response to this need Davines dedicates Glorifying Hair Care System, the new product range that highlights the characteristics of any type of coloured, bleached or highlighted hair. The efficacy of the range is based on the synergic action of its active ingredients (polyphenols and carotenoids) enriched with ingredients of natural origin, resulting not only in enhancing shine but also prolonging the colour’s vitality thanks to the deep anti-age action."

Let me introduce you to the products.

This creamy shampoo was created for colored, bleached, and highlighted hair to reduce colour loss, protect hair from UV damage, and increase luminosity. The shampoo's creaminess makes it particularly hydrating and softening. Its formulated with Polyphenols from Sunflower Extract for their anti-free radical and anti-oxidant properties. It has a delicate surfactant derived from Oat Amino Acids that cares for the scalp while Wheat Proteins provide protective film-forming properties.

Of course, I always recommend using a little shampoo, lathering, and adding water if necessary. And for a more "clean" feeling, repeat. I do not recommend using this as a daily shampoo. Our Essentials line works on a molecular level, so your going to have more healing properties from either the MoMo, NouNou shampoo- however, if you alternate shampoo's with the Glorifying Shampoo- you are going to have increased benefits and shine!

This is a treatment mask, particularly for sensitized coloured, bleached, and highlighted hair. It has a strong anti-aging action that prevents hair aging, and thanks to a low pH, allows a perfect closure of the hair shaft to help lock in cosmetic colour. It has a UV protection, and the Omega 6 Fatty Acids are fundamental to hairs health and beauty.

This is my new favorite mask. It can be used on fine to coarse hair- and wont weigh it down. Its healing properties would make it the only conditioner/mask you would need. This will last you a very long time, as you only need a small amount of product (as with every Davines product) but the longer you are able to leave it on, the more treatment properties you will receive.

The Colour Protective Treatment is a Leave-In Conditioner for all hair types. This is a great product to spray in after you towel dry your hair to add enhanced UV protection and shine. Can be used daily. I defiantly recommend this product during the summer time before you head out to the pool or beach! And right after you get out of the water.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PRODUCT I HAVE SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME! MY NEW FAVORITE. This is called the Shimmering/Silkening Serum. It is a shine enhancing serum that actually brings out the color of faded/dull hair. Not only does it have incredible shine, it actually contains Omega 6 Fatty acids that are beneficial to the health of your hair! It also has UV protection! I couldn't have asked for a better shine drop! Whats even more exciting about it, is that one container will last you about a year!

There are 3 more products in the Glorifying Line that are for professional use only, to be used during colour applications. I wont go into too much detail about these products, but what I can tell you is that I can guarantee that your colour will last longer with these added service treatments!

The second portion of the class was all about styling and the different products that we use from the For Wizards and Defining Line. I asked TONS of questions about the products that I have been using and different products that I can use. And to be honest, I have been cocktailing too many products- which isn't necessarily a bad thing- but its really not necessary! I always say, "less is best", and I need to remember that when styling as well! Each product has extreme amounts of healing and protective properties, so I really dont need to layer them all into the hair strand. I am really excited to get behind the chair tomorrow and start trying out new ways of using each product and seeing what kind of results I see! Hopefully, you will notice the difference as well!

Tons of stuff going on at the salon! Rosey and Chemo went to the open casting call for Shear Genius on Bravo TV. They made it to round 2! Their second interviews are on Wednesday, so the salon is really rooting for them! If they make it on, its going to be an experience of a lifetime for them! I am sooooo excited! I will keep you posted on how they are doing!

Also, We are working with First Class Productions. Once or twice a month they throw huge events at different nightclubs around the LA area! They provide party bus transportation, drinks on the bus, VIP entrance to the clubs, etc. They are always so much fun, and very pocket friendly! Ticket prices range from $20-40 dollars. They currently take their buses out of Ralphs on Lakewood, but we they are now going to be coming out of the salon parking lot! We are EXTREMELY excited to be working with them, and even get some cheaper tickets available for you guys! :D

I am also working with the Myositis Association again to do our Summer Charity Event! We worked really hard last year to put this thing together, and unfortunately the city was giving us a hard time. BUT, next this summer we are having it for sure! June 27Th is the date! So please mark it on your calendar! More info will be announced as planning continues!

Thanks so much! And I look forward to seeing you soon!

PS- Flyer's are being made as we speak for the "Get a Blow Out, Before you Go Out" event we have at our salon every night! Be on the look out for them!
